It went unnamed (or just called ef="module.php?name=Lexikon&file=search&eid=1&query=Iverson' s Language">Iverson' s Language) and unimplemented for many years. Finally a subset, APL360, was implemented in 1964. APL is an ef="module.php?name=Lexikon&file=search&eid=1&query=interactive">interactive ef="module.php?name=Lexikon&file=search&eid=1&query=array-oriented">array-oriented language and programming environment with many innovative features. It was originally written using a non-standard ef="module.php?name=Lexikon&file=search&eid=1&query=character set">character set. It is ef="module.php?name=Lexikon&file=search&eid=1&query=dynamically typed">dynamically typed with ef="module.php?name=Lexikon&file=search&eid=1&query=dynamic scope">dynamic scope.
