High-level Data Link Control
(HDLC) A general-purpose href="module.php?name=Lexikon&file=search&eid=1&query=data link">data link control href="module.php?name=Lexikon&file=search&eid=1&query=protocol">protocol defined by href="module.php?name=Lexikon&file=search&eid=1&query=ISO">ISO for use on both point-to-point and href="module.php?name=Lexikon&file=search&eid=1&query=multipoint">multipoint (multidrop) data links. It supports href="module.php?name=Lexikon&file=search&eid=1&query=full-duplex">full-duplex, href="module.php?name=Lexikon&file=search&eid=1&query=transparent-mode">transparent-mode operation. It is used extensively in both multipoint and computer networks.
