Eaton, with help from many others, like href="module.php?name=Lexikon&file=search&eid=1&query=MATLAB">MATLAB, primarily intended for numerical computations. Octave provides a convenient href="module.php?name=Lexikon&file=search&eid=1&query=command line interface">command line interface for solving linear and nonlinear problems numerically.
