Common Lisp
A dialect of ref="module.php?name=Lexikon&file=search&eid=1&query=Lisp">Lisp defined by a consortium of companies brought together in 1981 by the {Defence Advanced Research Projects Agency} (DARPA). Common Lisp is a large and complex language, fairly close to a superset of ref="module.php?name=Lexikon&file=search&eid=1&query=MacLisp">MacLisp. It features ref="module.php?name=Lexikon&file=search&eid=1&query=lexical binding">lexical binding, data structures using defstruct and setf, ref="module.php?name=Lexikon&file=search&eid=1&query=closures">closures, multiple values, types using declare and a variety of numerical types. Function calls allow "&optional", keyword and "&rest" arguments. Generic sequence can either be a list or an ref="module.php?name=Lexikon&file=search&eid=1&query=array">array. It provides formatted printing using escape characters.
