PowerPC Platform
(PPCP, PReP - PowerPC reference Platform, formerly CHRP - Common Hardware reference Platform) An open system standard, designed by ref="module.php?name=Lexikon&file=search&eid=1&query=IBM">IBM, intended to ensure compatibility among ref="module.php?name=Lexikon&file=search&eid=1&query=PowerPC">PowerPC-based systems built by different companies. The PReP standard specifies the ref="module.php?name=Lexikon&file=search&eid=1&query=PCI">PCI bus, but will also support ref="module.php?name=Lexikon&file=search&eid=1&query=ISA">ISA, ref="module.php?name=Lexikon&file=search&eid=1&query=MicroChannel">MicroChannel and ref="module.php?name=Lexikon&file=search&eid=1&query=PCMCIA">PCMCIA.
