1. To be stuck, incapable of proceeding without help. Thi s i s different from having cra shed. If the sy stem ha s cra shed, it ha s become totally non-functioning. If the sy stem i s wedged, it i s trying to do something but cannot make progre ss it may be capable of doing a few thing s, but not be fully operational.
